True Blood

I have a new show that I absolutely love, its on HBO Sunday evenings at 8 pm. This show is called True Blood. I have a hard time explaining the show so check it out http://www.hbo.com/trueblood/ The whole thing I thought was weird at first but I have really got into it and can't wait for the next show. To make things even better my friend Nikki her aunt's boyfriend is Sam on the show. He is possible coming to town with Aunt Missy for the holidays so I have been promised that I will meet him if he comes. I am so excited and can't wait. So support the show!!!!

Update

Well its fall time and my allergies have been going nuts. I am suppose to be in the lovely city of Denver today until Monday but that had to be put on hold for a while. I still kept the time off from work. I just had a very relaxing day today. I have decided to reorganize my house. I am doing one room a day. Today was the living room and I am just about there I just need a really strong guy to move my tv. Theres no way this woman is moving it even if i tried. Oh wait I already have tried.

I went looking for a new mattress for in the bedroom. What an exhausting experience. I just want something so i am comfortable and don't have backaches. I said a mattress not a whole new sheet and pillow set. Apparently you need deep pocket sheets well damn it i like the sheets i have and they don't come in deep pockets. so what is a person to do. I will continue to sleep on my current bed until I figure out a different option.

That is all of an update that I have for now. since i am on vacation I am going to try and post a few more things throughout the weekend.

Summer is almost over

where has the time gone. I am sitting here just realizing I didn't get to do half the stuff I wanted to this summer. I remember growing up how the summers would be jammed pack with events with my grandparents. This year I only got to see my grandpa twice. Not a good thing but that is just how crazy life can get.

Had a great time at the Carson family reunion this year. I am going to try and make it more often then what I have been. However I am back to work 7 days a week so taking time off can be a little difficult.

My friend Shannon is home from the Army. I am so excited she is home we have been able to tackle a few things on our list of things to do this summer.

Bailey started school last week and she loves it. I don't know to many kids that are excited to go back to school. She was so thrilled the night before. Mary starts college this week. Its going to be tough but I think she can handle it.

Shannon and I are planning are making a trip to Colorado this fall and most likely this winter.

Family Reunion

This weekend is our annual family reunion. I haven't been to the actually picnic in 9 years. I have made appearance at the end of it and all the food would be gone. I have been working Sunday's for 9 years and just haven't ever got the weekend off. Well this year that has changed. I have the whole weekend off and I am taking off Friday to have a day to myself. In years past we have had family members out to the cabin usually our Missouri and Colorado relatives for a grill out. Just so I would be able to see some of my family. We are going to Janell's house to enjoy a hot dog cook out this year. It sounds like great fun and finally get to taste some of Janell's good cooking. She blogs about all this good stuff. Plus I get to met some of her family that I read so much about. I am very excited to see everyone. Then Sunday its off to the picnic in Oakland which usually its very hot! According to the weather forecast there is a chance of rain so I am sure it will be humid.

Its been a long week because my parents and baby sister are in Canada this week so I haven't been able to talk to them. Its almost driving me nuts. I love my parents and sisters very much! They land Friday afternoon, Mary and I plan to have everything ready for them for the weekend. Well hopefully see everyone this weekend. Val you are on my list for not coming!!!!

Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July! I am so sorry to everyone that I didn't make it to blogstock. I was going to stop out on my way home since I was staying at the cabin in Tekamah. However my day changed very fast when this happened.....







This is my parents friend Mike's boat that we boating on that afternoon. Well needless to say we all had to jump ship. It was the scariest thing I have ever been though. I know I have a guardian Angel up there somewhere. We all made it okay. The boat is non salvageable. So I think I have had the biggest firework display I care to ever been involved in. Here is a few more pictures I took from the sand bar when we got rescued!

I am off

for vacation in 3 hours. I can't wait! I remember oh its had to been 12 or more years. Plummie (LaDawn) went on this vacation with me. Well obviously its a different trip but same area. I am heading to the Lake of the Ozarks. I love going down there at least once a year. I have a cousin that lives down there. I am taking my camera its just remembering to use it. Hope everyone is doing well.

I will be MIA.

My computer at home has decided it doesn't want to have usb or disc drive anymore. So it is being sent away to the computer doctor.

Mary

Mary will be the next Quick to graduate from Blair High. It is approaching fast and there is things to be done! I am just about done with the scrapbook and her video is about half hour away from being done. What task this has been.

She is very excited but I am not sure what she is exactly doing after school is done. Well college but I am not sure where or what her major is. Anyways her party is May 10 from 4-8 at the Fire hall in town.

Goal Update!

Well its been a while since I have done an update on my goals.

Goal #1- I joined Weight Watchers and have been losing and maintaining weight. I haven't really gained if I have I lose it within a day.

Goal #2- Finances they are getting better. I am getting things slowly paid off. I have moved to a cheaper apartment to try and save money. I no longer drive my gas guzzler. I drive my dad's Oldsmobile to save on gas.

Goal #3- I will not be making this goal by Fall so it will most likely be the beginning of the year. Which is OK because I am not sure of what classes I want to take. I need to take the time and figure out where I want to go.

Goal #4- I have become more organized with moving.

Goal #5- I am getting in better shape. I just can't sit down when I get home from work otherwise I don't want to go do anything.

Goal #6- Well that one speaks for itself. Blogging hasn't been on my top priorities.
