Almost a year......

Well its been almost a year since I have wrote on my blog. So many things have changed in my life. I built a brand new house out in Bennington and am loving everything about it. It was really fun picking everything out and seeing it all come together. The picture doesn't due it justice but at least you have an idea now.

I lost my job back in July when I returned from my cousin's wedding but I got a new job within 3 weeks. The new job is really good and I am enjoying the stuff i learn everyday.

I have also stopped waitressing today was my first day not doing it. I have waited tables for 10 1/2 years. It was so hard not getting up this morning to go and do that job. I had decided it was time to have a life on the weekends with a lot of stuff changing.

I hope everyone is doing well and I will try to check in more often then once a year.

Well its been a while but I have been extremely busy. January is always busy with year end, that is done and gone working on the new year now. February I took a trip. I went to Fort Lauderdale and Key West Florida. It was a great time and I would go back in a heartbeat.

I have decided to take the next step in my life. I have been been out in the lovely city of Omaha trying to find a house to buy. I can't believe how dirty people can be. Hopefully I will find something it can be very frustrating but I am tired of renting. I am ready to have something to call "my own"

I will try and stop back sooner to post.

Well time has got away from me and its already January. It is extremely cold here in Nebraska but not as bad as it is for other people I know. Here is my recap of things I wanted to accomplish last year.

1. weight- Well I had lost some of the weight by summer time and i gained all of it back by the fall. So this will be another one that I am working on this year. I am doing very well with my diet so far. Learning different ways to cook and eat different food.

2. Finances- I got three things paid off last year and now I am working towards the last two. I have been able to get a savings now and am putting away for school.

3. school- Yeah this one didn't happen but I am saving to go back now so I can put all the money up front.

4. organized- I have succeeded at this one. My house is very organized and I know where everything is.

5. getting in shape- I am doing better at this. I work out a few times a week. I can definitely tell a difference.

6. blogging- I have not done to well on this one but there is still hope.

I have made some new things I want to do this year and continue on with other ones from last year. The new ones are:

1. Traveling- I want to take some trips this year. Don't know where yet but I will figure it out sometime.

2. Take some different courses (cooking, exercising, hobbies)

3. Joining some leagues (golf and bowling)

4. Run my first 5k

5. Learn to say NO!

I hope everyone had a safe holiday season and a good new year so far!

Golden Year

Well tomorrow I celebrate my golden year birthday. I had no idea what this meant until my mom explained it to me a few weeks ago. I have been extremely busy at work. Its coming to year end which is very stressful but when its all said and done you are relieved. It is a bit more stressful this year due to the upgrade for our system we have to get a new server. Which will take us down for the busiest month for accounting. I am not looking forward to it but in the long run it will be for the best.

Family is doing great. A few of us in the family have moved up in the technology world (Dad, Mary and I) Dad and I got blackberries and Mary got a MotoQ. I haven't had to get a book out for a cell phone until now but wait there isn't a book!!!! Its on a cd for the computer. So I will be teaching myself over the holiday weekend of how to use this thing and teaching Dad. Mary is on her own!

I hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving and if you are traveling please be safe. I have family traveling in and hope there travels go well!

Get out and VOTE!

TOday is the one day you can make a change. This country needs a change. I am not going to sit here and tell you who to go and vote for. That is your opinion. I however have always been a huge supporter of the Democratic Party and will continue to be. My good blogger friend, you know who you are, have the same political views as I do and we have been having a blast with the election this year. SO GET OUT THERE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE! VOTE!

Knock Knock

I feel like someone is knocking on my head. It is just pounding and then on top of it my whole body hurts and my stomach is upset. So I have a feeling I am coming down with something.

I have done my part this year and already voted. I am so sick of watching all the commercials on tv. It is getting so old watching them go back and forth. I hope everyone gets out and vote we really need a change. Don't think your one vote won't make a difference because it will. Its going to be a good race just like our local races are going to be good. I enjoy helping out with political things however haven't had time to do much with them for the last couple of years.

Well its fall time and my allergies have been going nuts. I am suppose to be in the lovely city of Denver today until Monday but that had to be put on hold for a while. I still kept the time off from work. I just had a very relaxing day today. I have decided to reorganize my house. I am doing one room a day. Today was the living room and I am just about there I just need a really strong guy to move my tv. Theres no way this woman is moving it even if i tried. Oh wait I already have tried.

I went looking for a new mattress for in the bedroom. What an exhausting experience. I just want something so i am comfortable and don't have backaches. I said a mattress not a whole new sheet and pillow set. Apparently you need deep pocket sheets well damn it i like the sheets i have and they don't come in deep pockets. so what is a person to do. I will continue to sleep on my current bed until I figure out a different option.

That is all of an update that I have for now. since i am on vacation I am going to try and post a few more things throughout the weekend.

Summer is almost over

where has the time gone. I am sitting here just realizing I didn't get to do half the stuff I wanted to this summer. I remember growing up how the summers would be jammed pack with events with my grandparents. This year I only got to see my grandpa twice. Not a good thing but that is just how crazy life can get.

Had a great time at the Carson family reunion this year. I am going to try and make it more often then what I have been. However I am back to work 7 days a week so taking time off can be a little difficult.

My friend Shannon is home from the Army. I am so excited she is home we have been able to tackle a few things on our list of things to do this summer.

Bailey started school last week and she loves it. I don't know to many kids that are excited to go back to school. She was so thrilled the night before. Mary starts college this week. Its going to be tough but I think she can handle it.

Shannon and I are planning are making a trip to Colorado this fall and most likely this winter.

Hope everyone is doing well.
